Four Seasons: Autumn

September 11, 2011

Four seasons is an interactive, four part multi-media installation, composed to reflect the four different stages of life as percieved by Metro-Boulot-Dodo – an energizing trio of artists working acorss art forms and known for their unique blend of live performance, original sundtrack and cutting new meida.

Autumn is now being shown at the Hub in Sleaford. From 1oth September until 3rd October.

Through a synthsis of a 16 speaker audio soundscape by The Broadway Project, interactive sculptures, video installation and a constantly shifting lighting state, Metro-Boulot-Dodo have created an immersive atmospheric environment that takes the viewer through an autumnal 24 hours. TVs some to life, projections appear and fade and sounds drift around the gallery. An oak tree grows from an iron bed, an Austin Sprite decays in a nest of braches, a rusty iron baths swims with projected ducks and late night teletext charts on womans restless night.

Four leading cultural venues have worked together to bring this ambitious art experience to Lincolshire. With exhibitions at Asycoughfee Hall, Spalding, The National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford, The Drill Hall and The Collection in Lincoln, there is the opportunity to visit all four installations, Spring, Autumn, Winter, Summer.

This installation is spectacular and guarenteed to capture the viewer. To find out more visit the artists website, www.metro-boultot-dodo.com or visit the Hbs website, www.thehubcentre.info.
